Education
The education curriculum offered by NARI MN is a comprehensive program of educational opportunities for building professionals. Program content is continually evaluated and updated by NARI Member companies with the goal of presenting the most appropriate and up-to-date information on the fast changing field of remodeling. Major components of the program are listed below. Contact the NARI office to discover more about these great opportunities.
NARI Certification Programs
Certification classes are offered each year for Certified Remodeler (CR), Certified Lead Carpenter (CLC), and Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler (CKBR). Content and testing is provided by NARI National while classes are facilitated by NARI MN members.
Roundtable Groups
A roundtable is a small group of NARI members who attend monthly meetings for serious discussion on business related topics of their choosing. NARI members can rotate into existing groups or start a new group.
Business Management Curriculum
To help develop professional skills, at least two all-day seminars will be offered at Minneapolis Community and Technical College to business owners and their office staff. Topics will be selected by NARI members, and the seminars will be led by professional consultants.
Field Staff Training Curriculum
To enhance the knowledge and proficiency of field staff, NARI MN in partnership with Minneapolis Community and Technical College, is offering a multiple course series on remodeling construction. Each day-long class is a hands-on based program taught by an MCTC instructor, with assistance from NARI member lead carpenters. Completion of the curriculum will provide students with a thorough background on construction techniques from foundation to roof.
JLC LIVE Midwest
JLC LIVE has developed a partnership with NARI MN to present their interactive construction tradeshow each fall in the Twin Cities. The two day Expo component offers solutions workshop series, how-to exhibits and interactive clinics within the largest tradeshow in the Midwest. The four day education conference presents a wide range of seminars led by national speakers. It’s also the best opportunity to satisfy your Minnesota State License Accreditation each year.
